1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Finsbury Suite ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Finsbury Suite is operated by Finsbury Suite UK Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). These terms apply to all users of the Service.

2. Description of Service

Finsbury Suite provides access to publicly available information about UK-registered companies sourced from Companies House, the official UK company registry. This includes company profiles, officer records, financial filings, and associated data. Finsbury Suite also provides derived analytics including credit scores and financial metrics computed from this public data.

3. Data Sources and Accuracy

The company data shown on Finsbury Suite is sourced from Companies House under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Finsbury Suite does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or currency of any data. Users should not rely solely on Finsbury Suite data for credit, investment, legal, or commercial decisions without independent verification.

Credit scores displayed on Finsbury Suite are computed algorithmically from publicly available financial and operational data. They are indicative only and do not constitute regulated financial advice or a formal credit report under any financial regulation.

4. Permitted Use

You may use Finsbury Suite for lawful purposes, including:

  • Due diligence on UK companies and their directors
  • Business research and competitive intelligence
  • Credit risk assessment (as a supplementary tool)
  • Portfolio monitoring and watchlist management
  • Academic and journalistic research

You must not:

  • Use the Service to harvest or scrape data at scale in violation of our rate limits or API terms
  • Use data to contact individuals in violation of GDPR, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, or any other applicable law
  • Resell or redistribute Finsbury Suite data or reports without prior written consent
  • Use the Service to discriminate against individuals based on protected characteristics
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, circumvent, or exploit the Service

5. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately at security@finsburysuite.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

6. Subscription and Billing

Free tier access is available without charge. Paid subscription tiers provide additional features. Subscription fees are charged in advance. Pricing is displayed at finsburysuite.com/pricing. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

7. API Access

API access is governed by these Terms plus the specific rate limits and usage policies described in the API documentation. API keys must not be shared publicly. We may suspend API access if rate limits are persistently exceeded.

8. Intellectual Property

The Finsbury Suite platform, including its design, software, and derived analytics, are owned by Finsbury Suite UK Ltd. The underlying company data is licensed from Companies House under the Open Government Licence v3.0. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the platform without our written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Finsbury Suite is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including reliance on data or credit scores for commercial decisions.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent or abusive behaviour. You may close your account at any time from Account Settings.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. We will notify registered users by email of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
